International Pineapple Day is upon us!
Hi there Duppies,
In case you didn't already know, this week we have a truly awesome day coming up … International Pineapple Day! Yes, there is in fact a whole day dedicated to the tastiest tropical fruit around, the Pineapple. So, make sure June 27th is in your diary and treat yourself to a delish Duppy cocktail while you’re at it.
We take our pineapples very seriously. Last year we even travelled around London dropping 1000 free pineapples on your doorsteps to showcase the mouthwatering Pina Colada. And if you haven’t checked out our blog Cocktail 101: all things Pina Colada then be sure to give it a read for a rum education and a banging must try recipe. But if Pina Coladas aren't your thing, then perhaps try our Spiced Pineapple Daiquiri for a twist on the classic rum cocktail.
However, if these two cocktails aren’t flamboyant or exciting enough to tingle your taste buds, we have a few more recipes up our sleeves. Whip them up with friends and family to share the warmth, fun and beauty of the Caribbean this summer.
Kingston Colada:
- 50 ml Duppy Aged
- 50ml Coconut water
- 25ml Pineapple Juice
- 15ml Lime Juice
- 10ml Sugar Syrup
- 3 dashes Angostura Bitters
- Serve in a Hurricane glass
- Garnish with a slice of pineapple
SpiceDup:
- 50ml Duppy Spiced
- 100ml Pineapple Juice
- 6 dashes Tabasco
- Serve in a coupe glass over ice
- Garnish with a wheel of pineapple
Dup and Stormy:
- 40ml Duppy Aged
- 10ml Kahluha
- 25ml Pineapple Juice
- 25ml Grapefruit Juice
- Top with Ginger Beer
- 3 dashes Angostura Bitters
- Serve in a Highball glass
- Garnish with a wedge of lime
Pineapple Rum Sour:
- 50ml Duppy Spiced
- 50ml Pineapple juice
- 25ml lemon juice
- 12.5ml sugar syrup
- Serve a rock glass over ice
- Garnish with twist of lemon
