We are so proud to announce that we are B Corp certified!

We have always strived to be a company that not only provides great products, but one that also believes in being a force for good. We can now share that we are a Certified B Corporation and we join the ranks of over 4000+ companies who are using business as a force for good.

Duppy achieved 97.9 as an overall B Impact Score, to put this into perspective the median score for ordinary businesses who complete the assessment is 50.9! We scored particularly highly in the workers and community sections as we work hard to ensure we engage with both our local and global communities.

While we know there is still as long way to go as we strive to create a sustainable business that has a positive impact on people, planet and community, we are proud of the strides we have made in our packaging as part of our B-Corp certification process:

1. Reducing our glass bottle weight by 210g – saving over 100,000 kg of glass per year
2. Adopting a new glass production that uses 20% recycled glass, saving a further 45,000 kg of glass per year
3. Moving from synthetic to natural corks – saving over 10,000 kg per year of non-renewable materials
4. Moving all our rum transportation to high strength bulk transport – saving 772kg of CO2 in reduced transport emissions, 6,500km fewer miles travelled on trucks and 21,000 KG of plastic removed from packaging
